The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA) and the visiting Echols County Wildcats (Statenville, GA), observed Lanier County's basketball team knock off Echols County by a score of 57-41.

The Bulldogs (12-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Clinch County (Homerville, GA). The Panthers come into the A D2 Region 2 challenge with a 16-2 record. In their last challenge, Clinch County prevailed over Turner County (Ashburn, GA), 59-56, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Turner County Titans (Ashburn, GA) in a A D2 Region 2 challenge, on Monday, February 3. Echols County will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 59-56 league loss to Clinch County (Homerville, GA).
