Illinois High School Basketball - Thompsonville held off by Gallatin County

February 1, 2025: Junction, IL 62954

In Saturday's non-league test, the Gallatin County Hawks (Junction, IL) basketball squad got by the visiting Thompsonville (Thompsonville, IL), by a score of 53-50.

Next, the Hawks encounter the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats (Carrier Mills, IL) in a Greater Egyptian test, on Tuesday, February 4. Gallatin County will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 1-16 record after their 54-50 non-league loss to Thompsonville (Thompsonville, IL).

The (9-14) will now prepare for their test against Crab Orchard (Marion, IL). The Trojans come into the Greater Egyptian test with a 11-5 record. In their last test, Crab Orchard was nipped by Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (Norris City, IL), 56-44, in a non-league test.
