Illinois High School Basketball - Gallatin County holds off Thompsonville

The Gallatin County Hawks basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Thompsonville to 53 in the Hawks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hawks now have a 8-16 record. They play next when they travel to Goreville for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 12. Gallatin County will confront a Blackcats team coming off a 81-44 league win over Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL). The Blackcats record now stands at 22-3.

With the loss, Thompsonville falls to 10-17 on the campaign. The host Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL) to confront the Cougars in a Greater Egyptian game on Wednesday, February 12. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 11-10. Hardin County won 70-57 in their recent non-league game against Century (Ullin, IL)
