Georgia High School Basketball - Screven County holds off Jenkins County

February 1, 2025: Millen, GA 30442

In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Screven County Gamecocks basketball team scored a close 58-52 triumph over the Jenkins County War Eagles.

The Gamecocks (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Claxton (Claxton, GA). The Tigers go into the A D2 Region 3 contest with a 5-15 record. In their last contest, Claxton was tipped by Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA), 75-34, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the War Eagles confront the Portal Panthers (Portal, GA) in a A D2 Region 3 contest, on Monday, February 3. Jenkins County will attempt to better on its 9-11 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 10-12 record after their 59-40 league win over Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA).
