The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) and the visiting New London Wildcats (New London, OH), observed Mapleton's basketball team overwhelm New London by a score of 66-38.

The Mounties (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Paul (Norwalk, OH). The Flyers come into the Firelands challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, St. Paul trounced St. Mary Central Catholic (Sandusky, OH), 43-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Plymouth Big Red (Plymouth, OH) in a Firelands challenge, on Thursday, February 6. New London will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Big Red come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 54-43 non-league win over Lucas (Lucas, OH).
