The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) and the host New London Wildcats (New London, OH), observed Mapleton's basketball team edge New London by a score of 58-51.

The Mounties (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against South Central (Greenwich, OH). The Trojans come into the Firelands challenge with a 3-16 record. In their last challenge, South Central was tipped by Buckeye Central (New Washington, OH), 52-43, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Edison Chargers (Milan, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. New London will attempt to improve on its 2-17 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 55-41 non-league loss to Monroeville (Monroeville, OH).
