North Carolina High School Basketball - Rocky Mount Prep bested by Northampton County

February 1, 2025: Gaston, NC 27832

Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars (Rocky Mount, NC), 70-59 in a league match.

With the victory, Northampton County advances its record to 13-5 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Warren County (Warrenton, NC) to face the Eagles in a 1A Tar Roanoke match on Tuesday, February 4. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 13-6. Warren County won 49-39 in their recent league match against Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC)

The Jaguars now own a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northwest Halifax for a 1A Tar Roanoke match on Tuesday, February 4. Rocky Mount Prep will face a Vikings squad coming off a 54-47 league win over KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 9-8.
