The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Temple Academy Bereans (Waterville, ME) and the host Pine Tree Academy Breakers (Freeport, ME), observed Temple Academy's basketball team edge Pine Tree Academy by a score of 52-47.

The Bereans (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Rangeley Lakes (Rangeley, ME). The Lakers come into the D South challenge with a 4-12 record.

In their next game, the Breakers battle the Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME) in a D South challenge, on Monday, February 3. Pine Tree Academy will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 45-39 league win over Vinalhaven (Vinalhaven, ME).
