West Virginia High School Basketball - Independence tipped by South Charleston

In Saturday's non-league test, the South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV) basketball squad got by the visiting Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV), by a score of 44-39.

Next, the Black Eagles clash with the St. Albans Red Dragons (St. Albans, WV) in a Mountain State test, on Thursday, February 6. South Charleston will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Red Dragons come into the test with a 10-3 record after their 76-34 league win over Riverside (Belle, WV).

The Patriots (4-10) will now prepare for their test against Bluefield (Bluefield, WV). The Beavers come into the non-league test with a 0-12 record.
