In Friday's non-league battle, the Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA) basketball team thwarted the host St. Mary's Ryken Knights (Leonardtown, MD), by a score of 76-61.
The Knights now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gonzaga for a DCSAA AA battle on Sunday, February 12. Bishop O'Connell will battle a Eagles team coming off a 68-58 league loss to St. John's (Washington, DC). The Eagles record now stands at 20-5.
The Knights (7-15) will now prepare for their battle against DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD). The Stags come into the Washington Catholic battle with a 15-9 record. In their last battle, DeMatha prevailed over The Heights (Potomac, MD), 102-73, in a league battle.
