In Friday's league outing, the Irion County Hornets (Mertzon, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Blackwell Hornets (Blackwell, TX), by a count of 63-28.
The Hornets (15-1) will now prepare for their outing against Robert Lee (Robert Lee, TX). The Steers go into the 1A Region II District 11 outing with a 12-18 record. In their last outing, Robert Lee was crushed by Garden City (Garden City, TX), 66-30, in a league outing.
