Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM), 46-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Carlsbad upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Cavemen travel to Clovis (Clovis, NM) to play the Wildcats in a 5A District 4 bout on Monday, February 13. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 10-13. Clovis lost 88-68 in their recent league bout against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM)

Next up, the Coyotes play the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) in a 5A District 4 bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Roswell will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 13-11 record after their 88-68 league win over Clovis (Clovis, NM).
