Texas High School Basketball - Dayton knocked off by Porter

The Porter Spartans basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Dayton Broncos to 36 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 11-21 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lufkin for a 5A Region II District 16 contest on Tuesday, February 14. Porter will battle a Panthers team coming off a 84-50 league win over Huntsville (Huntsville, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 32-3.
The Broncos (9-24) will now prepare for their contest against Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX). The Dragons enter the 5A Region II District 16 contest with a 20-12 record. In their last contest, Nacogdoches ran past Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX), 53-51, in a league contest.
