The Hodgeman County Longhorns basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Kiowa County Mavericks to 57 in the Longhorns non-league victory on Friday.

The Longhorns now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Satanta for a Southern Plains-Iroquois contest on Tuesday, February 14. Hodgeman County will battle a Indians team coming off a 56-41 non-league loss to South Central (Coldwater, KS). The Indians record now stands at 8-9.

The Mavericks (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Ingalls (Ingalls, KS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, Ingalls was nudged by Pawnee Heights (Rozel, KS), 64-52, in a league contest.
