The Sturgis East Storm basketball team (Hyannis, MA), was overwhelmed 67-32 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Nantucket Whalers (Nantucket, MA)
The Whalers now possess a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cape Cod Academy for a Cape & Islands - Meritime battle on Thursday, February 16. Nantucket will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 75-67 non-league loss to Fenway (Boston, MA). The Seahawks record now stands at 7-10.
The Storm (0-13) will now prepare for their battle against Old Colony RVT (Rochester, MA). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 14-4 record. In their last battle, Old Colony RVT trounced Cape Cod RVT (Harwich, MA), 61-60, in a non-league battle.
