Virginia High School Basketball - Lakeland ripped by Deep Creek

The Deep Creek Hornets basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Lakeland Cavaliers to 24 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.
The Hornets now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Great Bridge for a Southeastern contest on Tuesday, February 14. Deep Creek will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 68-46 league win over Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-14.
The Cavaliers (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Bulldogs enter the Southeastern contest with a 16-5 record. In their last contest, King's Fork triumphed over Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA), 64-32, in a league contest.
