In Friday's league outing, the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), by a count of 40-37.
The Sauras (9-13) will now prepare for their outing against North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league outing with a 15-9 record. In their last outing, North Stokes held off South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 56-29, in a league outing.
The Buckin' Elks now hold a 4-19 record.
