Wayland Wildcats (Wayland, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Kenowa Hills Knights (Grand Rapids, MI), 57-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Wayland upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Catholic Central (Grand Rapids, MI) to play the Cougars in a Ottawa-Kent - Blue bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Catholic Central won 56-40 in their recent league bout against Forest Hills Eastern (Ada, MI)

Next up, the Knights play the South Christian Sailors (Grand Rapids, MI) in a Ottawa-Kent - Gold game, on Tuesday, February 14. Kenowa Hills will attempt to move on its 12-6 season record. The Sailors enter the game with a 13-5 record after their 59-29 league win over Thornapple Kellogg (Middleville, MI).
