California High School Basketball - Kirby Prep can't hold off Oakwood

The Kirby Prep Griffins basketball team (Santa Cruz, CA), was nudged 39-36 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Oakwood Hawks (Morgan Hill, CA)
The Hawks now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Anzar for a PCAL - Arroyo battle on Tuesday, February 14. Oakwood will battle a Hawks team coming off a 43-34 league win over Kirby Prep (Santa Cruz, CA). The Hawks record now stands at 5-10.
The Griffins (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Ceiba College Preparatory Academy (Watsonville, CA). The Spartans come into the PCAL - Arroyo battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Ceiba College Preparatory Academy was nudged by Anzar (San Juan Bautista, CA), 30-20, in a league battle.
