In Friday's league outing, the Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), by a margin of 66-35.
The Warriors (9-15) will now prepare for their outing against Stephens County (Toccoa, GA). The Indians go into the AAA Region 8 outing with a 3-21 record. In their last outing, Stephens County was trounced by Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA), 96-20, in a league outing.
The Purple Hurricanes now own a 11-14 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin County for a AAA Region 8 outing on Monday, February 13. Monroe Area will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 73-40 league loss to Hart County (Hartwell, GA). The Lions record now stands at 8-17.
