Texas High School Basketball - Paetow can't hold off Morton Ranch

The Morton Ranch Mavericks basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Paetow Panthers to 67 in the Mavericks league triumph on Saturday.

The Mavericks now sport a 5-25 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Katy for a 6A Region III District 19 contest on Tuesday, February 13. Morton Ranch will battle a Tigers team coming off a 74-68 league win over Tompkins (Katy, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 20-11.

The Panthers (22-11) will now prepare for their contest against Mayde Creek (Houston, TX). The Rams enter the 6A Region III District 19 contest with a 11-21 record. In their last contest, Mayde Creek was nudged by Jordan (Fulshear, TX), 65-55, in a league contest.
