Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sullivan County Griffins (Laporte, PA), 58-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwest Area upgrades its record to 20-2 on the season.

Next up, the Griffins clash with the Wyalusing Valley Rams (Wyalusing, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Sullivan County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 3-16 record after their 63-59 league win over Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA).
