In Monday's league test, the Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA) basketball squad trounced the visiting Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA), by a score of 61-39.
Next, the Bruins clash with the Denbigh Patriots (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula test, on Thursday, February 13. Bethel will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 14-6 record after their 54-45 non-league loss to Norview (Norfolk, VA).
The Monarchs (4-15) will now prepare for their test against Phoebus (Hampton, VA). The Phantoms come into the Peninsula test with a 5-15 record. In their last test, Phoebus was routed by Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA), 64-58, in a league test.
