In Monday's non-league contest, the host Dan River Wildcats basketball team scored a good 56-42 triumph over the Altavista Colonels.
The Wildcats (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Generals go into the non-league contest with a 1-17 record. In their last contest, William Campbell was toppled by Chatham (Chatham, VA), 50-29, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Colonels confront the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 14. Altavista will attempt to better on its 7-8 season record. The Governors go into the contest with a 7-7 record after their 58-53 league loss to Dan River (Ringgold, VA).
