The Dan River Wildcats basketball team scored 66 points and limited the host Altavista Colonels to 46 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now have a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Nelson County for a non-league game on Friday, February 7. Dan River will confront a Governors team coming off a 42-36 non-league loss to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Governors record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Altavista falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Colonels travel to Gretna (Gretna, VA) to confront the Hawks in a non-league game on Friday, February 7. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 14-6. Gretna won 55-50 in their recent non-league game against Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA)
