The South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) basketball crushed the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 71-35 in Monday's league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 9-10 record. They play next when they host Hibriten for a non-league bout on Friday, February 14. South Caldwell will play a Panthers team coming off a 47-40 non-league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 4-14.
With the loss, Ashe County falls to 0-16 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to play the Pioneers in a bout on Friday, February 14. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Watauga won 55-53 in their recent league bout against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
