Virginia High School Basketball - Auburn nudges Wythe

Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA), 62-58 in a league bout.
With the win, Auburn upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season.
Next up, the Maroons clash with the Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) in a Mountain Empire bout, on Monday, February 14. Wythe will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 7-13 record after their 57-54 league win over Grayson County (Independence, VA).
