Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY), 59-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Montgomery County upgrades its record to 10-13 on the season. The Indians travel to Boyd County (Ashland, KY) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 12. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 18-4. Boyd County won 62-57 in their recent non-league bout against West Carter (Olive Hill, KY)

Next up, the Colonels play the Belfry Pirates (Belfry, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 12. Bourbon County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-19 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 88-79 non-league win over Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY).
