The Kake Thunderbirds basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Hoonah Braves to 25 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Saturday.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 11-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Non Varsity Tournament Opponent for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 11. Kake will meet a team coming off a 56-33 non-league loss to Shishmaref (Shishmaref, AK). The record now stands at 68-196.
The Braves (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Gustavus (Gustavus, AK). The Foxes enter the 1A Southeast contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Gustavus was routed by Hydaburg (Hydaburg, AK), 53-20, in a league contest.
