In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Kake Thunderbirds (Kake, AK) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Hoonah Braves (Hoonah, AK), by a count of 68-12.
The Thunderbirds (18-0) will now prepare for their outing against Yakutat (Yakutat, AK). The Eagles enter the non-league game with a 7-7 record. In their last game, Yakutat routed Angoon (Angoon, AK), 61-33, in a league game.
With the defeat, Hoonah moves to 0-14 on the year.
