The Magdalena Steers basketball team (Magdalena, NM), was toppled 55-42 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Animas Panthers (Animas, NM)
The Panthers now possess a 16-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quemado for a A District 2 battle on Monday, February 13. Animas will confront a Eagles team coming off a 37-34 league loss to Reserve (Reserve, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 16-8.
The Steers (13-12) will now prepare for their battle against Cliff (Cliff, NM). The Cowboys/Cowgirls come into the A District 2 battle with a 19-3 record. In their last battle, Cliff beat Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM), 64-30, in a league battle.
