The Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN) basketball nipped the host La Crescent Lancers (La Crescent, MN), 61-59 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cougars (10-14) will now prepare for their test against Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 10-10 record. In their last test, Kenyon-Wanamingo got by Medford (Medford, MN), 45-23, in a non-league test.
The Lancers now own a 11-8 record. They play next when they host Fillmore Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 14.
