Thousand Islands Vikings (Clayton, NY) fans left the game thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the host Franklin Academy Huskies (Malone, NY), 8-3 in a league match.

The Vikings (10-7) will now prepare for their match against Potsdam (Potsdam, NY). The Sandstoners enter the Division 1 match with a 3-6 record. In their last match, Potsdam was trounced by Massena (Massena, NY), 11-4, in a league match.

Next up, the Huskies encounter the Salmon River Shamrocks (Fort Covington, NY) in a Division 2 match, on Tuesday, February 14. Franklin Academy will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record.
