The Helix Highlanders bounced the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs basketball squad by a final score of 70-48 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Highlanders face the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills outing, on Friday, February 14. Helix will attempt to upgrade on its 11-16 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 17-9 record after their 72-55 league win over El Capitan (Lakeside, CA).

The Monarchs (14-13) will now prepare for their outing against Olympian (Chula Vista, CA). The Eagles enter the non-league outing with a 21-5 record. In their last outing, Olympian routed St. Joseph Academy (San Marcos, CA), 83-49, in a non-league outing.
