North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence crushes Rocky River

The Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) basketball crushed the host Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC), 71-49 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Patriots now possess a 18-5 record. They play next when they host Butler for a 4A Southwestern bout on Friday, February 14. Independence will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 52-50 league loss to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-10.

With the loss, Rocky River falls to 9-13 on the campaign. The Ravens host West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 12. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 0-22. West Mecklenburg lost 75-44 in their recent league bout against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC)
