South Carolina High School Basketball - Barnwell can't hold off Whale Branch

Whale Branch Warriors (Beaufort, SC) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Barnwell Warhorses (Barnwell, SC), 27-22 in a league match.

With the victory, Whale Branch advances its record to 9-10 on the year. The Warriors travel to Edisto (Cordova, SC) to face the Cougars in a AA Region 5 match on Thursday, February 13. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 2-17. Edisto lost 68-24 in their recent league match against Lake Marion (Santee, SC)

The Warhorses now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bridges Prep for a AA Region 5 match on Wednesday, February 12. Barnwell will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 63-28 league loss to Hampton County (Varnville, SC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-14.
