Whale Branch Warriors (Beaufort, SC) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Barnwell Warhorses (Barnwell, SC), 38-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Whale Branch upgrades its record to 8-9 on the year. The Warriors host Hampton County (Varnville, SC) to face the Hurricanes in a AA Region 5 match on Friday, February 7. The Hurricanes enter the match with a record of 16-5. Hampton County won 67-37 in their recent league match against Bridges Prep (Beaufort, SC)
The Warhorses now sport a 1-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edisto for a AA Region 5 match on Friday, February 7.
