North Carolina High School Basketball - Southern Lee trounces Ascend Leadership

The Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Ascend Leadership Aviators (Sanford, NC), 47-24 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers (2-17) will now prepare for their test against Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Vikings go into the 3A/4A Sandhills test with a 11-10 record. In their last test, Union Pines walloped Hoke County (Raeford, NC), 44-36, in a league test.
The Aviators now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they host Triangle Math & Science for a 1A Central Tar Heel test on Tuesday, February 13. Ascend Leadership will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 67-29 league win over Woods Charter (Chapel Hill, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 15-7.
