The Southern Lee Cavaliers basketball team scored 36 points and restricted the visiting Ascend Leadership Aviators to 26 in the Cavaliers non-league victory on Monday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 1-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoke County for a 3A/4A Sandhills contest on Tuesday, February 6. Southern Lee will battle a Bucks team coming off a 73-12 league loss to Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Bucks record now stands at 3-16.

The Aviators (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Woods Charter (Chapel Hill, NC). The Wolves come into the 1A Central Tar Heel contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Woods Charter was defeated by Wake Prep Academy (Wake Forest, NC), 46-40, in a non-league contest.
