The Kendrick Cherokees basketball squad (Columbus, GA), was nudged 48-44 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA)
With the victory, Sumter County advances its record to 16-10 on the year. The Panthers travel to Spencer (Columbus, GA) to meet the Greenwave in a non-league battle on Friday, February 14. The Greenwave enter the battle with a record of 18-6. Spencer won 60-45 in their recent league battle against Hardaway (Columbus, GA)
The Cherokees now own a 15-11 record.
