In Monday's non-league outing, the George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) basketball squad beat the visiting Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), by a count of 43-35.
The Eagles (15-8) will now prepare for their outing against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 20-5 record. In their last outing, Magna Vista defeated Halifax County (South Boston, VA), 71-34, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 12-12 record. They play next when they host Dan River for a non-league outing on Friday, February 17. Patrick County will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 56-38 league loss to Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-13.
