North Carolina High School Basketball - South Caldwell edges Ashe County

February 13, 2024: Hudson, NC 28638

The South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 62-58 in Tuesday's league test.

The Spartans (17-6) will now prepare for their test against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers go into the 3A/4A Northwestern test with a 1-21 record. In their last test, Hibriten was tipped by Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC), 53-41, in a league test.

The Huskies now own a 8-15 record. They play next when they host Watauga for a 3A/4A Northwestern test on Friday, February 16. Ashe County will encounter a Pioneers squad coming off a 83-66 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 18-5.
