Walled Lake Central Vikings (Walled Lake, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI), 66-59 in a league bout.

With the victory, Walled Lake Central upgrades its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Mott (Waterford, MI) to play the Corsairs in a Lakes Valley bout on Friday, February 16. The Corsairs come into the bout with a record of 17-3. Mott won 53-42 in their recent league bout against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI)

Next up, the Cougars play the Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI) in a Lakes Valley game, on Friday, February 16. South Lyon East will attempt to move on its 12-8 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 6-13 record after their 53-42 league loss to Mott (Waterford, MI).
