Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Toombs County upgrades its record to 8-16 on the season. The Bulldogs host Brantley County (Nahunta, GA) to play the Herons in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 15. The Herons go into the bout with a record of 15-9. Brantley County won 58-43 in their recent league bout against Windsor Forest (Savannah, GA)
