New Mexico High School Basketball - Cibola overwhelmed by Rio Rancho

February 13, 2025: Rio Rancho, NM 87124

In Thursday's league test, the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) basketball squad trounced the visiting Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), by a score of 65-42.

Next, the Rams encounter the Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 1 test, on Tuesday, February 18. Rio Rancho will attempt to improve on its 15-9 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 11-13 record after their 66-50 league loss to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM).

The Cougars (9-15) will now prepare for their test against Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Scorpions come into the 5A District 1 test with a 18-6 record. In their last test, Farmington bounced Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM), 52-41, in a league test.
