Mountainair Mustangs (Mountainair, NM) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM), 50-34 in a league match.

With the victory, Mountainair advances its record to 6-18 on the year. The Mustangs host Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM) to face the Cougars in a A District 3 match on Saturday, February 15. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 7-14.

The Eagles now own a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carrizozo for a A District 3 match on Tuesday, February 18.
