In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Luverne Cardinals basketball team scored a good 66-46 win over the Worthington Trojans.
The Cardinals (5-19) will now prepare for their contest against Fairmont (Fairmont, MN). The Cardinals come into the AA Section 3 contest with a 17-7 record. In their last contest, Fairmont defeated Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman (Granada, MN), 69-45, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Trojans battle the Belle Plaine Tigers (Belle Plaine, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 14. Worthington will attempt to better on its 1-23 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 9-15 record after their 73-71 non-league win over St. Peter (St. Peter, MN).
