North Carolina High School Basketball - Rocky Mount Prep trounced by Weldon

The Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars basketball squad (Rocky Mount, NC), was crushed 55-24 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC)

With the victory, Weldon advances its record to 8-7 on the year. The Chargers host Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC) to meet the Vikings in a 1A Tar Roanoke battle on Friday, February 14. The Vikings enter the battle with a record of 10-11. Northwest Halifax won 37-33 in their recent league battle against Northampton County (Gaston, NC)

The Jaguars now own a 7-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Warren County for a 1A Tar Roanoke battle on Friday, February 14. Rocky Mount Prep will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 59-42 league loss to Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 11-9.
