Fans at Thursday's non-league test between the Gainesville Hurricanes (Gainesville, FL) and the visiting Fleming Island Golden Eagles (Orange Park, FL), witnessed Gainesville's lacrosse squad overcome Fleming Island by a count of 13-6.

The Hurricanes (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Santa Fe (Alachua, FL). The Raiders enter the 1A D4 test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Santa Fe nipped Matanzas (Palm Coast, FL), 11-10, in a league test.

Next, the Golden Eagles battle the Tocoi Creek Toros (St. Augustine, FL) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, February 18. Fleming Island will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Toros enter the test with a 1-1 record after their 19-6 non-league loss to Episcopal School of Jacksonville (Jacksonville, FL).
