In Tuesday's league outing, the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) basketball squad nipped the visiting Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM), by a margin of 79-75.

The Eagles (14-11) will now prepare for their outing against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Cavemen go into the 5A District 4 outing with a 18-7 record. In their last outing, Carlsbad got by Clovis (Clovis, NM), 53-49, in a league outing.
